THE FARM
Nurture Creek is a hobby farm set on 20 acres in beautiful Monbulk, the crown jewel of Victoria's Yarra Ranges. With a mix of pastures and wild bush, it is a haven not just for our animals but hosts of birds, deer, wallabies, echidnas and more. Featuring a hill with magnificent views (perfect for watching the sun set with a drink in hand), a creek to sit beside and let the time pass, bush to explore and trees to fall asleep under, it is the ultimate destination to unplug and unwind.
OUR FAMILY
Bek and Adam have lived in the hills for over 13 years. In 2019, after years of dreaming, they upgraded their family home to their 'dream' farm.
It hasn't been without determination and constant work to renovate and mould the run down (or completely dilapidated) farm into their dream of a beautiful haven to get away from the rush and crazy of life, to relax with fury friends and enjoy exploring the changing seasons in the native bushlands.
THE ANIMALS
Our family just keeps growing and at present we have anywhere between 30-40 furry or feathered friends on the farm including horses, highland cows, a jersey cow, goats, alpacas, sheep, pigs, chickens, bantams, turkeys, a bearded dragon and Indy the Border Collie to keep them all in line. All are friendly and love people, and trust us, you've never been so calm as when brushing a cow.
We sometimes have foster calves from the dairy industry that we look after until they find their forever homes - this is a busy time with bottles and medicines at various times of the day, not to mention love and cuddles needed on top.
FARM ACTIVITIES
Life on the farm can be as busy or as slow as you want it to be. Get involved in feeding time, go for walks and adventures, watch the sunrise or sunset, chill out in the hammock and read a book, watch the birds in the bush or garden, or just generally relax and unwind.

LOCAL ATTRACTIONS
Being situated in the heart of Melbourne's Yarra and Dandenong Ranges, Nurture Creek is the perfect base camp for exploring an area rich with diverse activities to do, places to visit, and things to learn.
There are numerous local attractions within a short drive including treetop climbs, historic parks and gardens, bike trails and more.
The hills also feature more restaurants and eateries than you could ever visit from down to earth home-cooking, to pubs, to French, Asian, Indian, and all the traditional takeaways - many of which are only four minutes from your door.
FUTURE PROJECTS
If there's one thing we've learned about farm life, it's that the work never stops. And so it is at Nurture Creek where our ideas are endless and so too is our list of things to do.
But that's the beauty of our little slice of paradise - every day it gets better - more interesting, more comfortable, and more fun.
